A new Winter Park bagel shop is offering free bagels to customers this Saturday.
The Bagel Shop, located at 211 W. Fairbanks Ave., is offering bagels, sandwiches and coffee for free and bulk orders of bagels at 20% off.
Alex Tuccio, who owns The Bagel Shop along with his brother Hunter, said the offer is an attempt to connect the community that they serve.
The Winter Park location, which opened three weeks ago, is the family-owned chain’s first shop outside of Massachusetts.
Alex said the shop specializes in New York-style bagels and 25 types of coffee. He said iced coffee is really where they shine, but in Massachusetts that’s really only a big seller in the summer.
“We went on a hunt to find year-round summer and it wasn’t hard to land on Florida,” he said.
Alex said they hope to expand with additional locations across Central Florida, including near the University of Central Florida and Stetson University.
The Winter Park shop is open daily from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
